Director of Parts in New Castle, DE

Currently hiring for as a Direct Placement for a Director of Parts for a commercial trucking and rental company located in Philadelphia, PA. The day to day responsibilities of a Director of Parts is the following;- Forecasts departmental goals and objectives and prepares an annual operating budget for the parts department.- Ensures continuity in processes, paperwork, and customer service across all locations.- Maintains reporting systems required by general management.- Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with the qualifications of the service department, body shop, wholesale accounts, and the do-it-yourself public to ensure max turnover. - Manage annual physical inventory count procedures at all locations and submit to the accounting department.- Monitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescence.- Participates in Sales & Marketing projects to develop new supplies, suppliers, and markets for parts distribution.- Establishes pricing parameters in each customer category that generate sufficient gross profit to produce a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyalty. - Develops and administers an aggressive, profitable wholesale parts program.- Ensures parts are properly tagged during core return to ensure max credit by factory.- Serves as liaison with factory representatives.- Sets and enforces a policy on special ordering of parts.- Works closely with the service managers to ensure proper parts are distributed to technicians in a timely manner. - Monitor departmental operations and storage layout and revises as needed for max effectiveness.- Handles customer complaints efficiently, quickly and thoroughly to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.- Holds weekly departmental meetings striving for harmony and teamwork within the department and with other departments.- Provides technical assistance to parts department employees and fosters professional employee development by determining need for advanced training.In order to be considered, qualified candidates must have the following recent background; - Min of 5yrs-background as Parts Manager- Background with On-line Internet Sales- Excellent technical skills (Windows, Explorer, Outlook). - Excellent management expertise. - Background in managing a multi-location operation/parts department. - Outstanding written and spoken communication skillsPlease call Rochelle Landis with any questions at [removed phone].
